Overview

Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking a recent college graduate to join our Production team as a Management Trainee. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and agricultural films. 

 

Dedicated to providing the highest quality polyethylene products, our team of chemical, mechanical, electrical and process engineers is at the forefront of modern plastics technology.  The companys innovative design team is responsible for several technological breakthroughs in blown-film extrusion and bag making.  We also maintain one of the most sophisticated on-site labs in the plastics industry.

Poly-America is seeking a recent college graduate with a desire for a long-term career opportunity with a manufacturing company. The Management Trainee position will give you the resources to learn our business from the ground up and put you on the fast track for future advancements and success. Once the trainee program is successfully completed you will be promoted to a Production Manager role with 30-60 direct reports. 

Job Responsibilities

Management Trainees at Poly-America are responsible for supporting the management staff in the production areas to which they are assigned. Trainees in this position will have an opportunity to learn about different roles and functions that support their area of the facility. Management Trainees will also actively participate in management tasks with other managers and support staff. You will be encouraged to utilize critical thinking and decision making to support your success as well as the company’s production goals. The individual in this role must have the ability to participate in a team environment. This is an entry-level position. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business required.
  • The ability to work a in a fast pace work environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • The aptitude and desire necessary to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.
